Type your username and password and click the "Enter" button and you will enter the game. Passwords are no longer X'd out
If you want to try Shmear for free click the "Demo" button and enter your information. If your information is accepted, you will enter the game.

This is where incoming messages are displayed, you can disable auto-scrolling if you want to look back into the chat history

The help button brings you to this web-site

This box tells you when your Shmear account expires. For Demo users, it shows how many minutes of play are remaining

Game Lounge

After you click on a Game button you will enter the lounge area for that game. To begin playing, click on the seat you wish to sit in and press the "Start" button. Here you see sow has chosen a seat and is ready to play. To leave the Lounge area click the Red X in the upper right hand corner.

Use "Auto-play" to have the computer play your cards.

Use "Beep me" to play a sound when it is your turn to play

High, Low, Jack, Jick, Game are shown in these areas

Chat

During a game you can chat with people in the Main Lounge or the Game Lounge in addition to the Game you are playing. Don't forget, in version 3.0 you may now chat in different colors and different fonts.

The Score Card

Keeps track of money won or lost while you play.
If you win, you get $1 for each win and 25 cents for each opponent Blue Chip.
If you lose, you lose $1 and 25 cents for each Blue Chip.
As Dave would say, "This game is for entertainment only, no Wagering"

This menu is the drop down for "Net"

This menu is the dropdown for "Visual"

Update Software will automatically download the latest version
Purchase Play Time will bring you to the area of this web site where you can add time to your Shmear account
View High Scores will bring you to the area of this web site where you can view the top 10 players
Tournaments will bring up the tournament view/scheduler (see below)
Boot Demo Player allows Paid Members to boot demo players who are causing problems until the next day (play nice)
Use Change E-mail Address or Password to keep your e-mail address up to date in case you forget your password

Select Beginner or Advanced from Game Setting
Change the speed of animations or turn them off with Animation Speed
Color / Image lets you change interface colors and background images
Change your Chat Font with Select Font... and Select Font Color...
Change your chat window background color Select Chat Background Color... (note: other players will not see your background color)

Sound

There is a new sound chooser that comes with some default sounds. It is recommended that you activate all the sounds at first and then disable sounds that you aren't interested in.. ..you can also load your own sounds.

Tournaments are a new feature of Shmear

When you create a tournament you must decide how big the prize will be. The prize points will be deducted from your total at the end of the tournament if the minimum number of players is met. Your contribution and the contribution of other players (called "wagers" in the form) will be multiplied by 150%. Those points will be distributed to the winner in the following fashion:

Top 3

The top 3 players split the points
The top player gets 50% of the points
The 2nd best player gets 30% of the points
The 3rd best player gets 20% of the points

Top 5

The top 5 players split the points
The top player gets 45% of the points
The 2nd best player gets 25% of the points
The 3rd best player gets 15% of the points
The 4th best player gets 10% of the points
The 5th best player gets 5% of the points
